This is not a phone. This is THE DAMN PHONE,dat processor with snapdragon800,quad core 2.3ghz, a battery life of 3500 mah with krait on top of that? I would die for this 0_0

I had the exact same thought, it's a curved screen not flexible but just because Samsung released the galaxy round LG made a booboo in a hurry, they could have named it "flexed". And Now definitely they will steal my idea like they stole the galaxy round design. :D
LG I see you have been naughty you guys announced G2 after Galaxy s4, ;)

for all who dont understand the curved design... here is an explanation. think about it if you have a plastic flexible it wont break. this is a very important spec.

The curved display is for adding more legibility in outdoors. It means that you don't need to put your cellphone brightness to 100% to be abble to see what's on the screen.
By doing this, your battery power will last longer.

btw... doing this, you battery will surely live for so long in contrast to others fat smartphones.
Additional feature is in fact... that its easier to protect the screen from a quick fall. In a fall, the phone will flip to hit in the back (the battery) or in the edges in a worst case... never will damage the screen. Its also flexible, doing the "Broke-Screem Problem" for any others circunstances Almost imposible!

It's early days as far as flexibility is concerned. The idea of the the flexible screen is to prevent the screen from breaking. To create a totaly flexible Phone would mean having to make all the parts flexible, and that is a long way of yet. So for now the screens are curved to show that it has a flexible screen even if still a rigid body.

It looks silly...
If there is anything they wanna do with the screen, it's to invent finger print print proof.
Or probably a very low power consumption to last our battery for a day or two.
