      That's complete crap!
This should not even be legal!

If the device is unlocked with and unlocked sim the carrier has no right to lock you to their services!

Apple is taking the fight to the carriers for the benefits of all mobile users. Once Apple succeed, carrier contracts and swapping SIMs will be a thing of the past.

I dont like the idea of programmable simcard of iphone, its hard to unlock and its giving the carrier the power to lock you out. this is not good.

                          why bother?
you can always buy an empty unlocked multi-numbers SIM card from Asia, and inject it with your own numbers (it's available in different capacities, up to 16 numbers).
yup, Apple SIM is not innovation, it's been around in Asia for years.

Anonymous, 25 Oct 2014this is the result of immense sales sustained by isheeps: they play with customers as they wantThe sheep insulters have become the new sheep, merely repeating your lines like a mantra. You do know the sheep term came due to non-thinking right?

Read the article again, Apple actually provided more flexibility with this new SIM. It is AT&T the carrier that is refusing to co-operate, locking people into their plan, and not allowing it to be used with other plans.
