Plus google has been doing this for awhile so I don't see how apple is (in this respect) being a molopoly.

Good!! I don't see why Apple insists on monopolizing its own products. NFC payments should work the same regardless of which platform is providing it.

So you just go and look what permissions that app demands from end user...
And interpret it accordingly...

I will for example NEVER install that Facebook messenger app that is now required from FB app itself...
Because I READ and interpreted the required permissions to install it...
And it is quite worrying what that app gets permissions to...just about everything you have in your phone, including info on what you type in through querty...
Go figure...

I read a bit about Currect C. It appears to be a form of using a "prepaid" app. So you have to load the money into the app, before making a purchase. There is no credit involved. However, shutting down NFC in order to promote an "in house" method of payment by those retailers is clearly an anti-competitive move, and they might be forced to accept NFC or pay through their noses if not. And the problem with the Current C is that the people would not be able to spend those money anywhere else(not everybody will use Current C), it's like buying some coupons.
What I think is stupid is that Android flameboys are rejoicing in those shops shutting down NFC payments all together, it affects them too. LOL!

apple does not your credit card information on their servers. It's encrypted on your phone. Numbers are ecrypted each time you use it, and even then, every time you use it, the encryption is different.
just pointing that out, incase the apple haters and non apple users decide to use that an attempt to attack apple. APPLE DOES NOT YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. IT IS ENCRYPTED ON YOUR PHONE. WHICH MEANS THE ONLY PERSON THAT KNOWS YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER IS YOU, WITH THE PHYSICAL CARD ON HAND.
anyways not truly big news. Wether they take apple pay or not. More then enough retailers take apple pay and the number is still growing. the people who got an iphone6 did not get it for apple pay anyways.

It should be as quiet and people and companies would be ignoring it completely.
Apple pay generate so much hype, most high end retailers are afraid of changes, they are changing their machine in an act of defiance.
Why you might ask.. Because here is the difference.
1. Those massive corp wanna take your money directly!.. No credit no loan, just access your bank AC directly.
2. Apple Pay is on credit / debit, so they have to wait before they receive payment!.
But its to tell if it works.. See who gives in first.
