Anonymous, 29 Oct 2014Impressive device. Imagine the battery life on this thing with it's Super AMOLED display. Its been my experience that amoled really doesn't save you any power. LCD backlights are extremely efficient, and are, themselves, LED.

      Answer is simple...
They just choosed Brasil no need to seek reason, it can happen...

If you dig it more you can also see Verizon is an Usa company, Verizon doing bussiness in Brasil, Brasil is very close to North america and Brasil is good a fellow of Usa.

You see, how complicated it become?
Above answer was more simple right?

      It just can happen...

Moto, 29 Oct 2014Why is it being announced in Brazil? That's only next week!!! This maybe my next smartphone. because Brazil is one of the biggest markets for Motorola currently, because Motorola is investing heavily in BRIC countries because they have a huge untapped market of new smartphone owners, because The Moto G is hugely popular there, because there is a Motorola factory in Brazil and it may be manufactured there, etc, etc,etc...

          Do you need another reason?

Maov999, 29 Oct 2014I'm really sorry but you're wrong... Moto X (2014) is selling like hotcakes here in Brazil. Moto X (2013) was a best-seller too.

                  I rather see a Moto E actually.

Thank God it would be a global device. Now I would have a hard time choosing between galaxy note 4 and this motorolla droid (or maxx or whatever).
Release this device soon in Africa.

kenosis, 29 Oct 2014is the display qhd lcd or qhd amoled? GSM got it wrong before the Turbo launched, they claimed IPS lCD but it turned out to be AMOLED after all. This will be AMOLED too, you can be sure of it.
