Hi-I work for O2 in UK and we have just phased out our old phillips handsets -this range would've been ideal for our older customers -they got a Nokia 1101 for upgrading..... I think these would be great on prepay just for texting

These entry level phones look nice. I'm looking for a no-frills phone that is featureless except for basic calls and text-messaging (SMS only). It would be great for young kids and also as a secondary phone to have, especially for budget network carriers. Removing all non-mobile-phone-specific features (maybe except the alarm clock and time-date function, but NO to calendars/PIMS) will greatly prolong battery life and performance to maybe past the 1000 hours standby time barrier and the 12 hour talk-time dream.

It's awesome man! Nokia has finally met the criteria of people who wants a colour phone for less than 400 Malaysian Ringgit. Hope they come to Malaysia very, very soon.

guys guys guys... the author/s of this site says these phones are for the "low-end market share" and it could be the 1st time users of mobile phones. as nokia's strategy is also obvious: different phones for the insatiable needs and wants of its variety of customers... thanks

i agree with jonhy, if someone would make a mobile that only make and receive calls and have a memory to store contacts it would be great for the older people, no games, no calculator, no favourites,no nothing, just make and receive calls... just like our old home phones. it would be great

For gods sake! The whole point of these phones are that they are featureless. Older people dont want cameras, mp3's, etc.

There's noo point slagging these phone models on because they are made for a simple reason - people who want a no thrills phone

              its so bloody obvious!

obviously great products for the low end. 1100 has sold tens, probably hundreds, of millions, and 1112 will sell some hundreds more at euro 45 a pop before subsidies! 75 euro for 2610 is a bargain too!

Another excuse for nokia to reissue their older outdated phones in smaler model form. When nokia release a better, nicer version of the Sagem VS1, they will rake it in. All they have to do is reissue an older spec phone, with big buttons and a big screen!!

Hey, good to see Nokia finally releasing a level-entry phone that actually looks "decent". Should be able to sell plenty of these. =)
