I also expect that newer adreno drivers will improve things.
The most important detail left is power efficiency.

Do... moreI ran my iP7 and PXL side by side, just to test this app opening speed tests, and yes you are right, only partially. While basic day to day apps like Dialler, Messaging and stuffs open almost same, if not faster on the Android (PXL), the heavy stuffs, like games open significantly faster on the A10. Sometimes you will wonder whether the game was kept in memory or not, while it was not as I never keep anything in memory.
I am selling the iP7 anyway, cause iOS is the most unintuitive thing I have ever used, and probably already grown a tumour or something trying to figure my way out of iOS, for even simple, basic stuffs, but the raw speed of the phone is simply in a different level than any android available. But this will only matter for games and apps which need CPU power, otherwise the Pixel is a much smoother phone, yeah you read it right.

Qualcomm always have 2 groups: weaker cores and stronger cores.
I believe geekbench always run with lower clock. Usually A53.
Example :
Quad core : 4 cores 2.3 GHz each
Octacore : 4 cores 2.5 GHz + 4 cores 1.9 GHz
It is 2.3 GHz against the 1.9, not against the 2.5

Do a side-by-side app/browser comparison between iPhone 7 and any flagship Android phone. The difference is negligible and most of the time iPhone 7 is slower in comparison.
