The general public just wasn't interested. Which fed into app developers not being interested because why would you spend resources on a platform that simply put is not selling. I don't know where you live but in the UK there were plenty of ads for windows. But simply put why would I sell my iPhone or android phone for a platform that does not have even a decent Youtube app or any of the apps I use on a daily basis the Executives can't force people to buy into the platform when Apple and Google were so well established.

That's great news. Tizen needs more exposure but according to the chart, they are still only expanding to developing countries. When are some of the established/developed countries getting a taste of Tizen?

It should all be filmed live for the world to see.

Their neglect of Windows Mobile is precisely why me, a 21-year fan of the company, switched to a MacBook on May 9.

OMG!!! I will never buy any of these Tizen phones and don't recommend anyone too.
I once trusted Samsung when they they first launched Bada OS. But they abandoned this OS in 2 years time and eventually us with no technical support! Tizen has the same fate waiting for it as it was for Bada, no difference:imho -lack of decent apps, delayed software updates, countless promises, you name it.

Samsung will leave Android for sure. Samsung can make Tizen a great OS.

Google should do something! Google should not rely on Samsung.

Google should partner other OEMs. I think Nokia can strengthen Android considering that their new phones run pure OS.

Nokia has a huge fan base and its brand is still recognized by billions of people around the world.

Apart from Nokia, Sony and LG can also be good partners for Google.

                Good luck Google!

So it means they deserve to be poor forever if they choose Tizen phone rather that Redmi alike.

Samsung itself is not serious with its OS. Taking it too casually, as a side project, not mainstream one & this is quite clear with no of devices supporting it.
Less no, less support from developers around!

Ultimately consumer suffers. They make money out of it.

Back in 2010, Samsung released Bada OS, and i went to trust them and bought wave 1. No later the in the next year Samsung ditched bada and so the developers along with it and i was left with no support or new content whatsoever. So i wont be putting my trust on Tizen (revamped Bada OS) again, no matter how much enthusiastically samsung presents it.

No sane company going to make a new one with what we already have. Brave Samsung. We'll see. I hated android when it first existed too anyway. Now using android and loving it.
