Apple IOS is by far the superior OS. Yes android can do most if not everything Apple can BUT the likes of touchwiz and LG bootloops make android as a whole very hard to recommend to the mass.
Bloatware really ruins the user experience on android devices. Why do we need three different email clients? Or 2 different calendars? or THREE different messaging apps? It's really stupid.

"High performance chips"...like that's what matter most. From 5s, switched to Xiaomi Mi Note 2. Will wait 5 years + to replace this.

it is indeed easier, if you can afford it and happen to be around other iPhone users. you won't have to deal with the freedom of choice and individuality. (in a neutral way with a pinch of personal bias).
you get what you buy and it just works for its rated lifespan
