Jack Frost, 11 Nov 2019A great choice. I'll choose an ex-flagship SoC over a new midrange SoC anyday. Sure if battery life isn't a priority

Wow, a good price for a SD835 phone! The only cons are the small battery and the low RAM and storage, but overall this is a great deal and I wish it becomes available in more countries.

I wish more companies do this. I mean plenty of companies using old 4xx and 6xx chips, but why nobody is using older 8xx chips?

Looks so good and classy... Sharp messing up not releasing these beautiful J-phones tithe west. No ugly notch, no weird flashy/ricey back, no weird mechanisms for a damn selfie camera.

Kangal, 11 Nov 2019The QSD 835 chipset is from 2017. It's a much better choice of SoC than a Midrange (QSD 636) ... moreyou are absolutely right i would get the 835 over the 730 or the g90 or kirin 810. The 835 is a better chipset than all 3. I wish more manufacturers would go that way just that Sharp should have gone with a bigger screen more than a 6.5 inch

This is a better deal than any phone with 'midranger' chips these days. Smart but dunno if people will be receptive cuz lots probs think newer=better.

The QSD 835 chipset is from 2017.
It's a much better choice of SoC than a Midrange (QSD 636) or Upper-Midrange (QSD 730) chipset. So perhaps this is a freebie upgrade. Just look at the F(x)tech Pro 1, the first proper smartphone with landscape-qwerty since I believe 2012 (Motorola Photon ?). And it runs both Android and Linux (SailOS). The creators were forced to choose between a midrange processor, or an ex-flagship, for the same price because of low-quantity order. They also chose the QSD 835 thankfully.
