Baykko, 13 Nov 2019I saw the video and he deliberately pressed his fingernail to the screen to try to scratch it.... moreBut before he used his finger? Didn't he used the scratch kit to determine the level of screen durability? What matters most is it can be scratch so easily!
One time replacement for $150? You think people wanted one time replacement cost of $150 if most of the time the screen get's damage? Also, the charge for replacing after the one time replacement used up is $600! I could almost bought a smartphone for that price!

It definitely shows the screen is fragile but its not like your fingernail will scratch it by simply swapping your fingers over it.

And wasn't Samsung providing a one year extra warranty on the screen and guaranteeing a 1 time replacement of the screen for only $150 or something like that?

DARK PREDITOR, 11 Nov 2019Glass really, good look with that one !Don't you remember the 'flexible glass' screen protectors that came out around the time of the GS7? You could bend those until top and bottom edges touched without breaking them. I'm sure measurable progress has been made in the meantime, and will continue.

The main display itself can be scratch so easily with a fingernail. If the customer has exposed nails. Then the customer won't be able to win. And will have to pay $500 to $600. For a screen replacement.

Foxtrot2Novmbr, 12 Nov 2019What will those people who bought a foldable phone think if the display suddenly get's wrecked... moreUnless the screen gets damaged and the customer can prove that they didn't do to it something advised against by Samsung, then yes, they have to pay the price. You should be well aware what you are getting into when you buy this phone.

Kingslayer, 12 Nov 2019Smart by Samsung. Get the first jump on Apple. Then when Apple releases a foldable iPhone and ... moreFoldable displays tech has been around for years. Did apple go ahead and make the first smartphone with a foldable display? NO! How about you look at the sales of the foldable smartphones compared to a non-foldable technology?
Another thing. When apple made the iphone 11 pro max. Did they announced that it is the only smartphone in the world with a triple camera system? NO. How about when they told the crowd that it will have an 18 W charger in it. Did they claim that it's the fastest smartphone charger in the world? NO. Same goes to the other technology like the 800 nits brightness, dolby tech, 3,969 mah battery, and so on(Except for the 4 meter water resistant). Did they claim that the iphone 11 pro max is far superior than android? In terms of water resistant? Yes, others? No.
So again. Think before you post any lying comments.

Smart by Samsung. Get the first jump on Apple. Then when Apple releases a foldable iPhone and iPad, they will be praised for revolutionizing the industry while their delusional fans will accuse Samsung of being the copycats.

Remember, Apple invented gestures and that card UI. Right, Matias Duarte?

I would be very upset if Samsung decided to update the current fold with this glass to sell alongside the clamshell phone because anyone with the current phone would be missing out on this important upgrade on the same phone.

Instead, I hope they use it on a clamshell design for the 2nd generation and then bring out a 3rd generation that improves upon the design of the 1st generation with a bigger secondary and main screen, pen, slimmer design etc.

Dodong, 11 Nov 2019What ever they say glass is breakableand your point I what? Don't release anything until you get an UTG that's as strong as sapphire and thinner than a hair?

We live in an age where everything is driven by profit. We wont see good folding phones unless the technology is developed and that wont happen if there Is no investment, which wont happen if there are no chances for profit. So in conclusion. early iterations of foldable phones are needed before a true resilient foldable phone to happen.

It's great to heat that and see new improvements for the foldable phones... With this glass maybe they could make the next galaxy fold with a pen and that will be right idea for the foldable phones especially they have big displays
