NotAnOpinion, 16 Nov 2019"The temporary export license does not cover companies like Intel, Qualcomm, and Micron since ... more"Google's Android is also classified as a national security issue." You are not wrong there. It is a security risk for anyone that uses it. Google seem to logs everything you do.

Mediatek is some 1.357.632 years 244 days 12 hours 37 min and 7 seconds behind with their tec, so it's not a competition.

You do know that Huawei sells more than just Android devices, right. They have a big market on telecommunications, like building 5G infrastructure for clients.

Its hard to say who would win something from this whole deal. Huawei is definitely losing right now, even if they might get back stronger after they develop their own solutions. American companies that supply Huawei will also lose on their deals with the company. This 6 month waiver means nothing at all if Huawei's true suppliers cannot supply to it like Microsoft and Google.

I think USA is vastly underestimating China here. A one of the richest countries in the world with a population of over 1.5b people. Even if they are ripping off all other countries they are capable of developing and supplying low costs technologies and people in the world will buy them because customers care only about quality and price. USA wants to stop China from turning into the center of the world but I feel like its a little too late.
