I have Redmi Note 4, a super phone, got the Miui 11 update and then a miracol happend...
The display shuts off randomly, can't see anything for minutes , a big beautiful black screen. Reboot, master reset, didn't resolved anithing... Thanks a lot Xiaomi for this update, you should test more precisely on the phones which will get a new update. Now I have to buy a new phone. Probably this was the idea in the first place.....

Unless a group of hackers specifically target you through that specific vulnerability or loophole (that exist coz of outdated security patch), you are safe.

What's the deal with the security patch? The reason you want your phone's software to be up to date is not for the latest OS or latest UI, but for security. It's great that Xiaomi is updating such an old, cheap device. Full marks for that. But for doing all of this, I am sure it takes just one extra step of effort to update the security patch?
