No matter what functionality is, it won't do well if you break it. And screen replacement here costs as much as a brand new flagship, considering durability of the screen - you are going to need at least few screen replacements if you use it as your daily driver as you would your normal phone.

Motorola design is the best so far, Samsung comes second, and Huawei is third in my opinion.

The Mate X is kinda dead until we see bendable glass replacing that plastic film.

The razr design will die. No wonder so many think it is the best design, fanboys are always wrong.

Best design is Mate's direction, only add S-Shaped 3rd piece in it. Real phone (6'4 incher), real tablet (10 incher when unfolded).

By comparison Samsungs gives you a bad phone, a bad (small) tablet, and razr does not even attempt any of those, just gives you a phone that folds, so you just lose the dual function that foldables can offer; Motorola straight gave up...

Man you are funny but i like it.
To be honest Mate X and the fold are both more spart-tablets than smart-phones.
Motorola is like Sony nowdays a TV remote controler tall and slim and disguised as a phone.
But when comes to beauty factor Motorola is an easy winner here ecause folded or unfolded the whole device looks like a brand new fashion trend and not something old and disgusting like the competitors which joined a fodable bandwagon this year.

Devious, 21 Nov 2019We've seen the fold being fragile and fail cause it was the only one to get released properly.... moreWell there is no sign of videos on youtube from this month when the mate x will be released but i hope jerryrigeverything aka Zac Nelson will inspect it with its gentle tools and does the same with Motorola and prove which one is the best.
But mto be honest my fingers are crossed for motorola.
I have a good hunch of feeling the made it from something more durable than plastic scratchable by nails.

Because fanboys just want to worship for the sake of defending the flawed exposed display. And no, don't excuse that "you can always put a screen protector" because it makes their logic more flawed that they need to protect it because they know it's more fragile that way.

I believe not all Huawei fans agree to the Mate X. There are only stubborn die-hard fans.

Razr's engineer did a good job making sure the fragile display is protected while Huawei's big R&D didn't help with the design. But Huawei fanboys will do what they can to justify the exposed PLASTIC oled display.

Also, Mate X is a tablet pretending to be a phone. This design will die before it's even released to other regions.

Devious, 21 Nov 2019There's no bendable glass so far so they probably all have a plastic film on top of the screen... moreAs far as I know, that is exactly it. All bendable phones are using some form of plastic for that protective layer of the screen. And soft, bendable plastic, is incredibly vulnerable to scratches, tears and dents.

Honestly, I am not sure what kind of longevity these phones are expected to enjoy, with out any kind of hard case, and damageable screens on the outside.

It being fragile is the design and structure. Not the technology. Which applies to all three devices. They are all fragile by design. And the x is most fragile for its screen being on the outside.
X is not ahead in features just because you don't like samsung.
