i bought this fone early in the year .. i accidently knee'd it lightly by accident(meaning like i sat on it with my knee)& the screen cracked ! this really really upset me because it was my first fone. but now i have a sony ericsson "Radio", but that is in repairs for a bad battery, & so i dont want it anymore, so now i am going to get the lg cookie..
this nokia is a good phone for how much it costs, especially with the changable faces.. & 1000 contact phonebook, but if your looking for a phone that lasts, please think twice about this one, if you sit on it, its dead !

it's a cool phone i realy desire it but the only problem about this phone is that it has less storing capacity and it performs in a very low speed.

Pros:
Nice screen, supports many java programs and games, works with Operamini 4.0, has e-mail, good keypad, good battery, fm-radio, nice fonts.
Cons:
A little slow sometimes.

I need a very basic and user friendly phone for my 79 yr old Dad. Something comparable to the old princess land line..lol....I want it so accessing the internet is not easily accesible. The back up he now has is one that I can not take the net off the home screen so if he hits the wrong button it automatically starts to download tot he net....like he would have any idea what to do when he got there:( He is already on my family talk plan with one year to go and I need for him to have something in case of Emergency. Think this is the right phone?

I am comfortable with it; just after some time it becomes slow!

It's a small and useful cell.
The only problem that I have had with it is that after switching it off and then switching it on, it takes long time that its message memory loades.

Anonymous, 20 Jul 2009why does nokia2600classic doesnot comes with a usb.It really doesn't support a USB, but in the phone manual, the part is called a connector, it really doesn't have, this phone is cool, it almost has everything, but it is not a Smartphone, it just lacks a USB Port, MicroSD Memory Card, Megapixel Camera, 3G, and it has a very low Circuit Switched Data. Also lack of more than 10MB internal Memory

I bought this phone as my second phone & i thought it could not take place of my 1st Nokia 5130- Bcoz
1. Menu is slower than 5130.
2. Java games & applications are oftenly crashed (Opera mini 3 runs well but 4.2 crashed severel times)
3. UI is not so attractive.

hey this phone is better than i expected, i only purchased this phone for a back-up for my 6500 slide which is getting fixed :-( it has bluetooth and camera!!!!!! for the price i paid , i was expecting some junk phone that only calls and txts. but this is great!!!!, a gooooood second phone!!! enjoy.

paras patodi, 14 Jul 2009I want to access internet by 2600classic mobile. While connecting through bluetooth it is givi... morefirst you should ensure you have credit on your phone.Nextly ensure your mobile line is DATA activated.If you can browse then it has data activated.
You should also ensure that you have the corect settings for connecting to the internet.

While connecting through bluetooth it is giving DATA PACKETS not activated. Can anybody suggest how to activate data packets(mobile brochure says, mobile will activate data packets automatically)
