I bought my 7110 second-hand over two and a half years ago and its still on its original battery. Its easy to use with one of the largest screens i`ve seen on a phone of this age. In my opinion there are only two bad points with the phone. Its easy to open the slider inadvertently- unlocking the keys whilst in transit, and secondly the ariel because its only this that dates the phone in my view. Otherwise an excellent phone which still has many features not found on newer models.
Used to have one of these. Very nice design, but a bit large. The slider bit used to get a bit crackly after a while, but a spot of WD40 often fixed this. Great reversi & tennis games.
N7110 is one of the best phones ever. Its memory is bigger than ten most phones come out with these days. If Nokia came out with its successor, I would buy that very day.
I am using it for 3 years, and had no problems with it. Battery still holds about 4 days, and the roller is in perfect condition. If you find somewhere a new 7110, let me know.
Nokia 7110 cell phone is the best, and difficult to find in the market, parts are not available too, I will appreciate, if Nokia remodify this product again.
I had 2 of those and still miss them.Nothing Ive had comes close to the versatility of the roller.
I also enjoyed being able to list multiple phone numbers under one name.
It was also the coolest looking phone I ever had.
Im about to buy a 6600 and I hope it matches the 7110.
Bad points it would freeze when using the internet sometimes, doesnt like the dust or moisture.
If the roller ceases to work its usually a simple matter to remove cover and put the roller back in its recess.
I bought my first 7110 in August 2000 and am still going. It's not without its bugs, but the overall package still stands as an unbeatable unit in my opinion. The main winner of this phone (apart from what everyone else has mentioned!) is the roller. No other navigation system on the market (including joystick and d-pad) provides the ability to navigate multiple items with a single movement. Up/down arrows, joystick and d-pad all require multiple button actions to move multiple places, whereas the roller can move right through the menu with a single top-to-bottom scroll in one finger movement. This is what has kept me with this phone so long, and is the feature I will miss most of all when I leave the 7110 fold.

I have this phone is a defective phone caused when the roller broke its hard to scroll
this is a verry verry good phone; let's see:
good parts: well, i dont know wich one to start... it has a huge display (8 lines of text), it has that "navi-roller" key wich is just like the mouse scrool (up down and push), the silver ring around the screen is fully metalic, verry cool active flip (it has a key on the back of the phone, u push it, the flip goes down really fast -like in the matrix 1-) it has IRDA wich allows you to: edit/copy/synch phone book, edit/upload/download/send logos/startup logs/picture messages/ringtones and many more, it has a huge phone memory -> 1000 phone book entities, each with 6 phone numbers (work home mobile fax general office) and 3 texts (notes, email, postal adress), 350 sms memory wich can be stored in folders (inbox outbox + the ones u creade by your self) 10 missed/received/dialled calls, and for each number in this list u have the time and date of the last 5 calls of that number; profiles, 35 built in ringtones, vibration, calculator, clock alarm, games, advanced calendar (for each day u can make birthdate, meeting, or call notes, each with text and alarm); it has a wap browser (it's the first wap-enabled gsm phone); these are only the best of the best features of this phone, they are many more;
bad parts: it's quite big so if u like key-chain phones, don't buy it:P, the flip is fragile, don't drop the phone on the floor with the flip opened!
overall, this is a proffesional phone, really, it has many many features wich almost all phones from it's generation didnt even heard; and they are all in a single phone; also the active flip it's unique; i gave it 9 of 10 (and it isnt 10 because it's a little big, that's all)
I see a lot of this phone on the 2nd hand shops... i never really liked it cuz you had to constantly slide it just to answer a call or message which could get annoying after a while.. i dont know why u guys like it ... seems to me there are a lot of other new phones with more features in it than this one..
this is one cool phone... the flip open when u click a button in the back... and it looks soooooooo cool. I sold mine whwn i needed some money.. now i regret it :(
It is a great phone that can store lots of numbers and messages. For my type of business it is reliable and trust worthy. I had one in 2000 then it dropped in water and it was gone but now i recently purchased one. I have admired this phone from the first time i saw it in The Matrix the first one. Ever since i had always wanted to get one now i have one. It is such a great phone. I think this is a one of kind phone and trhe best phone Nokia ever made.
